Susan Cone Porges

Ohio artist/calligrapher, Susan Cone Porges, combines her passion for drawing and painting with her love of letters. A graduate of Mass. College of Art, with a BFA in Printmaking, Susan has spent the past 25 years designing original “calli”graphics for corporate and individual clients. In addition to her commercial work, Susan spends much of her time painting in both oils and watercolors, lending her keen sense of design and color to rich florals and landscapes. Susan also teaches drawing and calligraphy, and is a member of the International Association of Master Penman, the Western Reserve Calligraphers, and the Ohio Watercolor Society. She exhibits regularly in galleries, art shows, and craft exhibitions.

Serenity

This work of art was originally painted in loose washes of watercolor on canvas. It depicts a peaceful sunrise on a serene marsh, typical of areas along the eastern coast of the United States. For any couple with a love of nature, an appreciation of the meditative qualities of these low-lying coastal areas, or a special connection to any of the beautiful coastal towns along the Atlantic Ocean… this lush, yet delicate ArtVow would make a beautiful framed work of art that will hopefully conjure up feelings of serenity within all who view it.
